Associated with Aboriginal activities This tree is an unusual example of a scarred tree. Some years ago the tree blew over but continued to grow. Part of the root system is exposed and adventicious shoots have grown either end of the scar. The tree is located north from Dutson Road, via Legges Lane,2.5 kmeast ofthe RAAF Bombing Range gate. Contribution to the landscape This is a large and imposing specimen of Forest Red Gum (Eucalyptus tereticornis) located in paddocks forming part of the historic Strathfieldsaye Homestead complex at Stratford. The tree exhibits a large trunk and an upright, narrow crown with no foliage for the first 10-14 metres.
